Google has disabled Uploads and Comments on YouTube Korea

Monday, April 13th, 2009

News information for youtube user that now Google has disabled user uploads and comments on the Korean version of its YouTube video portal. This is in reaction to a new law that requires the real name of a contributor be listed along each contribution they make.

The rules, part of a Cyber Defamation Law, came into effect on April 1 for all sites with over 100,000 unique visitors per day. It requires that users provide their real name and national ID card number.

Google as the owner of youtube says that the reason for this move is that they favor “freedom of expression” and “openness”, and that it’s “very important that if users want to be anonymous that they have that chance.”

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

If you want to look for some free streaming music, You can try this one.For now vastfm still in beta version. What can you get there? As information from the official site tell that :

Vastfm.com has no content. We don’t store any music files, no discography info, nothing. The songs you hear are on YouTube. Basically, we take the artist that you select, and go get their discography from an open online music directory. Then, we take whatever song you choose, and search for that song on youtube. Then, we just play the video, and you hear the music.

While a song is playing, simply click the “AmazonMP3″ button to find that song on AmazonMP3. Then download the song and put it on your iPod. Vastfm encourages you to always download your music legally.

Try this one, Hope you enjoy listening to the new song update everyday here.

  • Title: Arbitrary code execution via XUL tree element

Impact: Critical
Announced: March 27, 2009
Reporter: Nils
Products: Firefox

Fixed in: Firefox 3.0.8
Description

Security researcher Nils reported via TippingPoint’s Zero Day Initiative that the XUL tree method _moveToEdgeShift was in some cases triggering garbage collection routines on objects which were still in use. In such cases, the browser would crash when attempting to access a previously destroyed object and this crash could be used by an attacker to run arbitrary code on a victim’s computer.

This vulnerability was used by the reporter to win the 2009 CanSecWest Pwn2Own contest.

This vulnerability does not affect Firefox 2, Thunderbird 2, or released versions of SeaMonkey.
